"Relay for Life" at IDCI on Friday June 25th

Once again, under Bob Hutchinson's leadership, the parish of St. James' had a team of enthusiastic walkers for the annual Ingersoll and District "Relay for Life" sponsored by the Canadian Cancer Society. The "Spirit Connection" team from St. James' received the bronze award for the third highest amount raised by a team. Considering there were 25 teams, we did very well!  And congratulations to parishioner Betty White, who raised more funds than any other participant in the relay!
Our team was composed of parishioners, family members and friends. Some persevered and walked all night; others committed themselves to walking as long as they could; others just popped by to say hello and add moral support, or still others came by to help pitch or take down the tent! Thanks to all who took part both as team members and sponsors!

   VESTRY Meeting - Was held on Sunday May 16th following the 10:30 am service. By a 93% vote, Vestry approved releasing funds from the restoration fund to the Parish Council when needed to complete capital building projects.
Bob Peterman of POW Peterman Consulting Engineers gave a presentation of the findings of his engineering company about the state of our church buildings and the estimated costs over 10 years for repair and maintenance to the church building structures. IN TOUCH

St. James' Anglican Church Newsletter is published bi-monthly

Every two months, our "In Touch" newsletter editor gathers the parish news stories and other items of interest and shares them with all our parishioners. The newsletter also highlights upcoming events, profiles of parish individuals and families, and notes on various ministries and outreach projects. As well, it gives our parish priest, Rev. Jim, a chance to share his "ramblings" and greetings with us. If you have any information to share for publication, please contact our church office.
